Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

The Unhackables is the developer and operator of The Unhackables Study Tracker. The service helps students organise competitive-exam syllabuses, study progress, goals, focus sessions, and exam plans.

2. Information we handle

Information you provide

• Account data: display name, email address, password in securely hashed form, email-verification state, and authentication sessions.
• Study data: selected examination, topic status and progress, review or skip choices, daily goals, completed topics, study minutes, MCQ counts, focus-session records, and exam target dates.
• Support data: messages you send, category and subject, and the reply email attached to your verified account.

Technical data used to run the service

• A random app-installation identifier, device model or name, app version, and Android version for account sessions and support diagnostics.
• IP address, browser or app user-agent details, request identifiers, timestamps, and limited security-event records used to prevent abuse and investigate technical problems.
• A Firebase Cloud Messaging registration token and exam-topic subscription processed by Google to deliver notifications you have enabled.

We do not use advertising, and we do not request precise location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, payment information, or the Android Advertising ID for this service.

3. How we use information

• Create, verify, secure, and maintain your account.
• Save and synchronise your study progress across supported devices and the website.
• Display exam plans, countdowns, targets, history, and progress insights.
• Deliver general or exam-specific notifications and reminders.
• Answer support and privacy requests, troubleshoot failures, prevent abuse, and protect the service.

We do not sell personal data and do not use it for third-party advertising.

4. Service providers and sharing

We disclose only the information necessary to providers that operate the service on our behalf:

• Hostinger: website, API, database, server logging, and transactional email hosting.
• Google Firebase Cloud Messaging: notification delivery, registration tokens, and topic subscriptions.

We may also disclose information when required by applicable law, a valid legal process, or to protect users, the public, or the security of the service. We do not permit service providers to use Study Tracker data for their own advertising.

5. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are stored as one-way password hashes rather than readable passwords. Authentication and email links use random, expiring tokens stored in hashed form. Access is limited to systems and people who need it to operate and support the service. No system can be guaranteed completely secure.

6. Retention and account deletion

Account and synced study data are kept while your account is active so the service can work. Support and security records are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for support, abuse prevention, service integrity, or legal obligations.

You can request deletion from the app under Account → Delete Account and Data , or directly from the public deletion page below. After you confirm the private email link and final warning, your account and associated data on our active servers are deleted immediately. Temporary infrastructure backups, if any, expire through the provider's normal backup-rotation process and are not used to recreate a deleted account.

Offline information stored only on an Android device can be removed by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app.

7. Your choices

• You may update exam choices, plans, goals, and topic progress inside the service.
• You may change notification permission through Android settings. Turning it off prevents notification delivery.
• You may request access, correction, or deletion by using the privacy form below.

8. Students and minors

Study Tracker is an educational organisation tool. If applicable law requires a parent or guardian to consent for a minor, the service should be used only with that consent. We do not knowingly use children's personal data for advertising or sell it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the service or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will always appear on this page. Material changes will be communicated through the app, website, or another appropriate method.
